New Visual "Away Time" Feature
January 9th, 2010Many of our churches love the away time feature, which lets users indicate future dates when they will not be available for scheduling. Now you can also view the away time of your group by seeing it graphically on your calendar. Here is how:
First, go to your calendar and notice the small checkbox at the bottom called "Show Away Time":

Now, select the checkbox and you will see the away time appear as colored bars across the effected days as below.

You can see which people are specifically away in any specific day of the colored bars by simply mousing-over the day you are interested in.

We think this feature greatly enhances the ease-of-use for those who are planning events and scheduling on the calendar. Let us know what you think.

"Getting Started with WorshipTeam.com" - a tour of the site for the new administrator
June 5th, 2009We have added a video that browses through the 6 main sections of the Worshipteam.com and allows new planners/administrators the opportunity to get a few minutes of seeing the power of the new service. The video is available from the dashboard when you login, and is below:
We hope it helps give you a good overview of the deep functionality in Worshipteam.com
NEW "Away Time" Feature
April 5th, 2009Worshipteam.com has many ways to schedule and manage events and people, but one thing that can help with proactively working on schedules and events is to have the ability for users to mark out away time, such as vacations, trips and other absences that they already know about. With the new "Away Time" feature, when a leader is planning an event or service, they can know during that planning if the person has already scheduled themselves to be away.
Using it is simple for each user. Just go to the CALENDAR section of the website workspace (once you have logged in) and select the "Enter Away Time" icon at the bottom of the calendar screen.

You will come to a screen that allows you to enter your away times.

Select the Start and End dates for the time you will be away.

Click the "Save" button and the away segment will be added to your list of away times.

You can add multiple more away time segments if you wish.
You are done! Now, when a leader attempts to schedule you, if the event is occurring on one of your "away" times, a special notification and color will indicate that you have previously listed yourself as unavailable.
New Event View
March 28th, 2009Worshipteam.com has exceptional tools for scheduling, calendaring and handling events in your ministry. Now the details of any event on your calendar are presented in an instant changeable view. The new event view looks like this:

You will notice that the new event view has "Add" buttons for people and sets (along with other features). In this new event view adding a participant is done quickly but clicking the "Add" button next to "Person". This will bring up a list of people you can add such as:

All you do is select the person/skills that you wish to add to this event and click "Add" and they are added. You can remove a person by simply clicking the "X" that is marked to the right of their name.
Likewise, sets can also be added and removed (using the "Add" button or the "X" buttons).
Again, this is the simple event view allowing you to make quick changes to your event.
Another nice feature of the new event view screen is the quick "Notify" button. This allows you to send an instant reminder to anyone about the event.
Of course, you can still do the invitations to events where people can opt in/out of anything on the calendar (you do that when you use "Quick Event" or "Create Event").
Worshipteam.com allows you to do any configuration of event management and invitation, depending on your needs.
